HomeOS Terms of Use

HomeOS is a private household-assistant pilot operated by Velislav Dzhonov. Access is limited to invited household members. These terms describe the currently available pilot, including the optional commute feature. Contact: djonov@gmail.com.

Your household data

Use HomeOS only for information you are entitled to provide. Household members may see shared tasks, shopping items, calendar events and other shared records; owner-private records remain limited to their owner. The app can make changes only through its available controls and approval flow. You are responsible for checking important dates, reminders and other results.

AI answers and external services

General AI answers may be incorrect and are not a substitute for professional or emergency advice. When enabled, a general AI request sends your submitted text and a short conversation history to OpenAI. HomeOS labels those answers separately from verified household records. Please do not submit sensitive information to general AI unless you intend it to be processed by that provider.

Google Maps commute feature

If you choose to save a private commute and request live traffic, HomeOS sends only its Home and Work route endpoints to Google Maps Routes API to obtain a traffic-aware travel time. The route estimate is informational; traffic and arrival times can change. Do not use it while driving or let it distract you from road conditions.

HomeOS includes Google Maps features and content. Your use of those features and content is subject to the current Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. Google Maps content is identified in the app by a visible “Google Maps” attribution.

Availability and changes

This is a developing pilot. Features may be unavailable or change, and the operator may suspend access to protect the household or the service. HomeOS does not promise that an alert or route estimate will always arrive. Material changes to these terms will be shown before they take effect.
